For Parents

Did you know that Massachusetts is one of only five states in the country that doesn’t require personal finance education?

Fortunately, there are dedicated teachers and administrators statewide who go the extra mile to bring financial literacy to our students. At the Massachusetts Jumpstart Coalition, we’re committed to supporting them through access to curriculum, training, financial grants and recognition.

As a parent, you can also support their efforts and our overall goal of bringing personal finance education to all Massachusetts students. Use the Check Your School tool below to learn more (and to tell us more!) about your schools’ financial literacy efforts. And if you want to lobby for even more progress, you’ll also find ideas to engage your local district.

Thank you for your support!

Check Your School!

Money management is the one subject that everyone will use “in real life” but not all schools offer effective financial education. We want to put effective financial education in every school in America,.. and we need your help. It all starts by checking your school.
