Jumpstart your spring semester with professional development events from Next Gen Personal Finance and Jump$tart

February 17, 2021 //  by Josh Juling

We’re excited to announce a slate of virtual events for educators looking to tap into financial education resources! Whether you’re a veteran in bringing financial education into the classroom or you’re just starting to think about it, these events can help you take the next step. And, you’ll meet some of your fellow educators across Massachusetts!

The events will be hosted by our newest partner, Next Gen Personal Finance. Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF) is a national nonprofit expanding access to personal finance education by delivering free professional development and curriculum. Together, we’re bringing you professional development opportunities for the spring.

We’re calling it the Partnership for Professional Development Initiative, and it’ll feature three FREE events over the next three months. As a bonus, you could win up to $50 in Amazon gift cards! We’ll be giving away two $25 Amazon gift cards at each of the first two events and two $50 Amazon gift cards at our final FinCamp event. Here’s a look at the calendar:

Wednesday, February 24th

4-5pm

Looking for some quick, easy-to-use resources to get your students excited and engaged? The 5 in 50 session is for you. Whether you’re teaching remote, in-person, or both, we’ll review 5 of NGPF’s most popular resources.

Tuesday, March 30th

4-5pm

Games are a great way to make financial education fun. They’re also a great way to show students how to apply what they learn. In this session, we’ll show you how to use games as part of your go-to toolbox.

Saturday, April 10th

9-12pm

Last but not least, we’ll be hosting a 3-hour virtual FinCamp. Learn the latest on financial education, meet & greet with other educators, and discover new resources. Previous attendees have called this “the most productive professional development of the school year!” Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to supercharge your lesson plan.
