Paying the College Bill Webinar

Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority will hold a webinar on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 12:00 pm.

This webinar will provide valuable guidance to families as they make a decision on where to attend college. Topics will include an overview of different types of financial aid, an explanation of how to calculate the balance due at each college, and methods for paying the college bill.

U.Fund Dreams Tour at the Scooper Bowl

The Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority(MEFA) and the U.Fund Dreams Tour are hosting a community event geared towards preparing kids and parents for college. They will have a full interactive experience that allows children to imagine themselves in different occupations while parents learn all of the information they need about saving for college. Fidelity representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide resources about the U.Fund, the flexible and tax-advantaged Massachusetts 529 college savings plan.

Massachusetts Jump$tart Coalition is hosting this year’s LifeSmarts Competition at the Boston Federal Reserve Bank!

LifeSmarts, the ultimate consumer challenge, is an educational opportunity for students in 6th-12th grade. This competition prepares students to enter the real world as smart adult consumers. Participants focus on five key topic areas: consumer rights and responsibilities, the environment, health and safety, personal finance, and technology.
